January with my Grandkids

Madeline was selected by Parrish Middle School to play in the all-state orchestra at Hult Center in Eugene.  These are the top musicians in the state...it was so excellent.
Here is Madeline with her VERY proud mother and grandmothers (I took the picture and Chad was getting the...I don't know what he was doing!)

Brody and I recieved Blazer tickets, so we decided to spend the day together in Portland. We started out with breakfast at Donald Cafe with my brother (Alan), spent the entire morning at OMSI (what fun!), had lunch at Fudrukers and...
went to Willamette Park and watched the boaters and long boarders on the river, then...
to the Pittock Mansion and both of us took some great shots of Mt Hood and Mt St Helens, then we went to Burgerville, after finding a great spot to part at the Rose Garden (or whatever the call it now), and....
to some awesome seats to watch the Blazers squeak out a win over the Minnesota Timberwolves, led by Kevin Love who grew up in Portland. He put on a good showing, but not enough to beat us!
And here we go with a few thousand others to find our way to the freeway and home...a long and very fun day!                      Oh, and here is a view of the sun setting over Mt St Helens from Pittock Mansion.

50th year anniversary dinner with family.

We all met at the "Rhinelander" in Portland. They gave us a great table together.

Our waiter was Awesome. He helped us with our  selections, sang to us, told jokes and took wonderful care of us.

Look at this awesome spread! Nothing was left when we were done!

Finally, the complimentary German desert for the celebrants. (She still turns me on!)

Nancy and her (Grand) girls. And (Grand) son.
Grampa and his (Grand) girls. (The picture with Brody did not turn out.)

All of this would not have happened if I had not met the most wonderful woman God ever created!
