We arrived in Las Vegas to stay with my long time friend Jack Lowery and his wife Lynn (and of course, "Oreo"") We had a wonderful two days, went to their church, Canyon ridge. What a neat church...look them up on the internet. I never knew how big Las Vegas is....2 million people!!! Weather was awesome, not as hot as we found when we got to Phoenix.
Though it was hard to say good-bye, we moved on. Shane, celebrating his birthday asked us to meet him at the Grand Canyon. We found his campground...
and here is what we found. You cannot grasp this until you are there!
People are foolish wherever you are. As for me, I get the willies just looking at these hights from a comfortable distance...othere, like these fools...Sheesh.

As we headed to Phoenix, we ran into the smoke from a large fire in the distance.
I had to stop to catch this sunset over the mountains...awesome trip so far!...G'night.
