Road Trip - Day 24

After another great brkfst prepared by none other than John, we headed for Tabor College (John and Lola both graduated from there). Lola's family has deep roots here,
The President, Jules Glanzer (Previously Vice President of the seminary at George Fox University) led us on a tour of the campus and showed us plans for the new Fine Arts bldg.

Plaques honoring relatives of Lola...her family does have deep roots here!

A wonderful statue in the middle of the campus of the Cross with the shroud, representing a risen Christ...

and a Christ follower serving others because of the teachings of our risen Christ...moving!

Because of the continuing downpour of rain, we decided to belay the trip to the Eisenhower Library and return to John and Lola's before the roads were flooded out,,,yes, I am serious. We did, however, stop at "Freddy's Steakburgers" for lunch, picked up a movie and headed home...

in the downpour...look at the water rising amongst those tree's

The wipers hardly kept the windshield clear...

More water getting closer to the road! We were glad to make it home
We are cozy in their home, the girls both sound asleep in a nap. The rain is supposed to  be gone by morning so we can get back on the road to K C, MO...see you then.
