Road trip - Day 26

We started the day at the WW1 museum..the only one of its kind!

These are blocks of names of soldiers in front of the museum.

This is a mock up of the trenches used by the soldiers...it runs thru the whole museum.

One of the troop carriers.

A German tank...there were so many displays of weapons, uniforms, weapons, including cannons of all sizes.

We went to the top of the tower...what a view of KC!

One of the unique buildings

We got to see a window washer in action...he has no platform!

engraving at the bottom of the tower

Then we had to experience World famous KC BBQ! Look at the size of that sandwich!

Here is a better shot of it

Not that easy to wrap your mouth around...but I did!

Here is where we ate...Arthur Bryants...World renowned...it is located by the old ball park of the A's. Arthur's brother opened the restaurant in the 1920's and Arthur took over and made it so famous...many Presidents, sports stars and celebrities have eaten there...and I can see why!!!Awesome food!

We returned to the house and Dennis' son, Colby and his wife and 4 children as well as our cousin, Jackie Hedberg showed up for a wonderful discussion of family history

LONG day, lots of fun, tired and retired for the day...see ya
