somewhere I missed a day...this was actually day 29. It has gone SO fast and we have done SO much. Yesterday afternoon we headed for Lake of the Ozarks and Dennis and Vickie's cabin. This what we woke up to this morning.
We set out to "Tupalo Honey" restaurant for a very good and filling breakfast.
Then we put the boat in the water and headed towards the dam. This is the largest landlocked body of water in America (we think). This is a BEAUTIFUL lake!
The shoreline is lush! There is so much shoreline that most housing and condominiums are right on the lake.
We stopped for a "rest" stop and discovered this spring
This spring creates millions of gallons of water each day.
The spring is lush with wildlife...this is the 1st muskrat I have ever seen. We saw a beaver and several waterfowl
Oh, yes, the tail proves this was a muskrat
and this guy just had to sun himself
There is the remains of an old "castle" on top of the hill...we did not want to walk up there!
We went back to the cabin and headed to the dam for the"Hot Summer Nights" cruise in.
Hey, Chad...look at this...this guy built it himself...we had a good chat.
Wierd, huh
Look at this...Beaver fans on th lake..."Go Beavs"!
Time to go back to the cabin.
See ya tomorrow.
